Water and Sewer
Village of Greenwood residents receive water and sewer services from the Greenwood Water/Sewer Utility, which is owned and operated by the Municipality of the County of Kings.
Residents should contact the Municipality’s Public Works Department to arrange water service connections and obtain billing information.

Roads
Most streets in the Village of Greenwood are owned and maintained by the Province of Nova Scotia. Some newer streets are maintained by the Municipality of the County of Kings.
Questions or concerns about provincially maintained streets, including potholes, street sweeping, or snow plowing, should be directed to Nova Scotia Public Works at 1-844-696-7737.
Greenspace
The Village Public Works Department maintains community greenspaces, including the Civic Field and soccer field. Regular mowing and general upkeep help keep these areas clean, safe, and available for recreation, sports, and community events.
Sidewalks
The Village of Greenwood owns and maintains sidewalks within the Village boundary. The Public Works crew makes every effort to clear sidewalks as soon as possible following snowstorms.
Streetlights
The Village of Greenwood uses LED streetlights, which reduce electricity consumption, operating costs, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Each streetlight within the Village boundary has an identification code beginning with GW #.
